She loves bright colours. Especially yellow. Dancing. Music. Traveling and seafood. The first thing she does every morning is make a cup of coffee. Sometimes two. Her son and husband are her world. Her home is favourite place on earth. She’s trying to make camping a yearly tradition for her family. She loves roller coasters. And her biggest fear is the dark. Her name is spelled Yaira. But pronounced Jai-da. And she believes that the glass is always half full. On Sunday mornings, her husband Matt makes the three of them brunch. Her son, Diego always asks for seconds. She loves dogs. Hates surprises. Wants to visit India. Is celebrating her 5 year wedding anniversary this October. Thanksgiving weekend to be exact. The movie she could watch again and again (and does) is Elf. When she sees a dress she loves her heart stops. Family is always number one. It’s always been that way. From day one. She loves Matt’s sense of humour. The way he can make even the worst situation okay. If she’s sad or mad, he finds the good. Makes her laugh no matter what. Brings a mellow energy to her. There’s no bad in the world when he’s there. She loves that Diego has the same humour. That he’s quirky and sensitive just like her. She loves being outdoors together. Skateboarding. Cooking. Walking the dogs. And going on picnics. The sweet moments are her absolute favourite. Yaira, there’s no way for me to properly put into words how special you are to us. I love watching our kids grow up together and look forward to all the milestones along the way. Thank you for always welcoming us into your home. Sharing your love of Mexican food with us. Laughing with us in good times. Hugging us in bad times. And doing the best impression of Gloria from Modern Family that we’ve ever heard.
