He is always trying to do something sweet. Something unique. Something unexpected. On their third date he looked over at her and said, “can I keep you” and her heart melted right then and there…
When it came to proposing, Marc didn’t want to do it like everyone else. He wanted to be original. As they sat in the airport waiting for their plane to arrive, Lindsay and Marc kept talking about how excited they were to be going to Jamaica. He wondered if she was expecting a ring on the trip. It would be the perfect opportunity, but he worried that she wouldn’t be surprised. And that certainly wasn’t the original vision he had in his mind. So they checked their bags and went to wait to board their flight. Out the window planes were coming and going and people were all around them. There in the middle of the airport, waiting to take off on their dream vacation, Marc dropped to one knee. He took Lindsay’s hand in his and said that he didn’t want to get engaged on their vacation. Instead he wanted to spend the entire vacation celebrating already being engaged. It was unique. It was original and unexpected. It was perfectly sweet and her heart melted all over again.
Lindsay, I can’t believe that it’s been 20+ years since the first time we met. I can remember tobogganing together as kids and class trips and school dances. It’s really special to already have a connection with a bride before a wedding, but even better when we already know her family too. Congratulations to both of you and we can’t wait to be a part of your special day next summer :)
