EMILY AND KYLE – THE QUESTION…(photos by ewan)

He likes to think she pined after him. She insists that she was just good with faces. In different grades and different crowds, they knew each other to see one another, but they never connected. And so it would seem that the story might end there, but it was only the beginning…

She wasn’t a fan of house parties. They just weren’t her thing. So when an older friend invited her and a few friends to a party on New Year’s Eve, she wasn’t interested. But she was outvoted and off they went. The youngest at the party, she was only 17 and didn’t really know anyone. Emily was feeling a bit out of place. Recognizing her, Kyle came over and asked if some of the older guys were bugging her. They chatted, but parted ways. As the night rolled on a friend walked around putting black marks on everyone’s hands. The purpose wasn’t apparent, but Emily and Kyle both went along with it. Taking the opportunity set right in front of him, Kyle walked up to Emily and asked to see her mark. He took her hand in his and he didn’t let go. And that night when the clock struck midnight she did something completely and utterly against her character. She kissed him. It was something she would normally never do in a million years. She couldn’t believe she did it. But it just felt right. And so began the story of Emily and Kyle…

Emily and Kyle, where to begin. I have a million things to say to both of you and this little blog hardly seems to do those words justice. Kyle, I met you when we were both brand spanking new at University. We were both from different cities, didn’t know many people and became fast friends. And when Emily came into your life I knew from the minute I met her that you were meant for each other. You two looked at each other like you had a love that had been growing for hundreds of years. We are so happy for both of you and are counting the days to your wedding next summer. Congratulations again and lots of love to both of you :)
