She spent the morning with her closest friends and family. They laughed as they had their hair done. She smiled as she put on her lipstick. She beamed as she stepped into her gown. They all were such great moments that she would remember forever, but her favourite moment was yet to come…
Everyone kept talking about how Sue and Jamie might accidentally run into each other. With her getting ready at the farm and him doing last minute set up for their outside ceremony, the chances were pretty high that one of them would catch a glance. But neither of them minded. It wasn’t of concern to them when they happened to see each other for the first time. It wouldn’t have mattered if she still had rollers in her hair. It wouldn’t have mattered if he came around a corner and there she was. They both knew that at whatever time it happened it would be special.
While out taking pictures with the girls, Sue knew that Jamie was nearby. She kept trying to catch little peeks. She wondered where he was and what he was doing. She hoped that just maybe they’d stumble upon each other. And then there he was. Just beyond his vision, but where she could see him, Sue saw Jamie carrying the sound equipment. She hollered out a huge ‘Hi honey’ and beamed from ear to ear. At that very moment Jamie had been practicing his vows and just kept on going, hollering back at the top of his lungs : “I love you because you are helping me to make of the lumber of my life not a tavern but a temple”. It had been just a quick glance, but for them it had been perfect. And that extra little practice helped make sure that Jamie got all of lines right during his vows :)
This post is a little bit of order (as you may notice from the wheat). One of the school boards has been a bit strict with some of their teachers posting photos on blogs/facebook/public forums. Any of our brides and grooms who are teachers (both Sue and Jamie are) have had to get permission before we can put up their blog post so that school board officials don’t hunt us down and maim us. So, this post is a little late going up, but I really enjoyed looking at all of the summer pictures again as winter has slowly started to creep up on us. Congratulations again Sue and Jamie!
