THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE BLOG (31) – OUR LIFE…

Welcome back, Sunday. You’re always my favourite :)

1. Usually these posts poke loving fun at our kids. Today I get to start out with me. We were out shopping for new Winter coats and I picked out 6 that I wanted to try on. I had it narrowed down to 2 and couldn’t decide which I liked better and asked for Ewan’s opinion. He asked me to keep taking the first one off and put the 2nd one back on. Over and over again. Finally he burst out laughing hysterically in the middle of the store at my stupidity. I had actually picked out two coats that were IDENTICAL and had been putting them back on and off over and over again without realizing that they were the same coat. For the record, I bought the first one. (The horribly-embarrasingly bad).

2. Dear Starbucks : I miss you. Dear chocolate : I miss you even more. With Sarah Elizabeth turning 1 in a few weeks it’s time for me to get these last 10 baby pounds off who have called my hips ‘home’ for way too long. I am now on day three of no chocolate or Starbucks or sweets and may or may not be slightly crabby and irritable. While I know my hips are going to thank me in the long run, my stomach is currently very angry with me and cries at all hours for it’s friend, sweet milk chocolate. I’m pretty sure Starbucks is going to break up with me once it finds out I’ve been cheating on it with salads and fruit and 8 glasses of water a day. Why can’t someone invent a chocolate that has no calories or fat and actually helps me to lose weight? (The sadly bad).

3. Today we stopped at Winners to look at the toy section. As we were looking around an announcement came over the loud speaker for one of the staff : “Rachel to the front desk please, Rachel to the front desk”. As our Rachel’s head snapped up to find out where the voice was coming from, she got very excited and said to us : “They need me. Let’s go”!! (The sweetly good).

4. We sit in front of computers all day long, so we really fought buying an iphone or blackberry with our life. But on Monday we finally gave in and bought an iphone (go Mac products!) I’m apparently technologically challenged and haven’t figured out how to use it very well yet, so I’m asking for some help. If you have a favourite app please let me know what it is. I will love you forever for sharing. (The hopefully-you’ll-help-me-good).

5. Some thank you’s and congrats : Congrats to my brother Craig (and Jess) who got engaged and congrats to Ewan’s brother Mac (and Codi) who also got engaged last week. We are so excited for  you :) Thanks to Kat from Rock ‘n Roll Bride for featuring our Milph sessions on her Thursday Treats post this week. Congrats to our friend Sandra Regier who is having the grand opening of her  brand new studio this week – can’t wait to celebrate with you. Thanks so much to Russell and S for dinner last night. You two are truly awesome!  (All the very very good and the blog).

6. Saturday dinner time at the Phelan house. A little laugh to make you laugh :) (The very very good).

Happy Sunday!
