The wind rustled through the leaves. The sun warmed the back of the guest’s necks. The intoxicating smell of flowers surrounded them in all directions. They were getting married in the only place that made sense to them. The only place they felt right. Christine and Jay were getting married outside amongst nature…
Two years ago Christine and Jay packed up all of their belongings. They put everything into storage, except a bag to carry on their backs and headed out. It had always been a dream to travel the world and there was no better time than the present. So armed with only the necessities, they arrived in New Zealand. Backpacking, kayaking and exploring, they encountered the world in ways that not many people have. Naturally.
After a beautiful (but grueling) ten day hike, Jay knew that Stewart Island was the perfect place to propose. And under the stars, surrounded by nature, Christine said yes. As they laid in the wilderness dreaming about their wedding day, there was only one thing that made sense to them. A wedding outdoors. And so on her aunt’s farm, surrounded by their closest friends and family, Christine and Jay said I do. A pig roast, dancing under the stars, and a camp out : it was the perfect day. It was perfectly them.
