On the morning of our wedding a gift arrived at my door from Ewan. It was a cookbook. He had made it entirely from scratch and filled it with pictures of the two of us, our favourite recipes and new ones he hoped to try. Cooking is one of our things. As soon as the cool weather hits, we’re itching to get into the kitchen with a bottle of wine and make a meal together. We even have cds that are designated as ‘dinner making music’. For us, making a meal together is one of our favourite kinds of dates…
As she opens a bottle of wine he’s already waiting with two glasses. As he grates the cheese, her hand finds his to help. Being in the kitchen together is one of their favourite places to be. After dating long distance the thought of spending a night in silence at the movie theater just isn’t Jessica and Nick’s ideal night out. Instead they prefer to find themselves in the kitchen together. Cooking. Laughing. Talking. Creating. And as they sit down to share the food they’ve prepared together, they smile at one another across the table. Not many words have to be spoken. Because they share a common love. For both cooking and each other.
Jessica and Nick, you two are awesome. Pure and simple : you’re awesome. We’ve loved getting to know you and can’t wait for your wedding which will be here so very very soon. We had a blast at your engagement photos and loved your gifts of Starbucks – you know us too well. Thanks so much and we’ll be seeing you again in just a short time :)
