After 5 years together, it was time for the official proposal. Little did David and Kristin know that it would be such a memorable night!On a family trip to Florida, David asked Kristin to marry him down on the beach at sunset. On the way back to the hotel after a celebratory dinner, David accidentally turned head-on into traffic, barreling towards a median and on-coming traffic. A screaming Kristin watched her life flash before her, but thankfully there was a road way that they escaped down before it was too late. Back at the hotel, being an excited new bride, Kristin wanted to wear her engagement ring to bed, even though it was an especially hot and humid night. A few hours later, she woke up to a throbbing pain in her arm and throwing on the light, realized that her finger had swollen to twice it’s size and was a beautiful shade of purple! After running it under cold water and having no luck, David came to the rescue with a cold beer and cooking oil. And then David uttered the words that would make any bride burst into hysterics; “I think we’re going to have to go the hospital and have the ring cut off”. Certain that this was not an option, Kristin told David to get the ring off no matter what it took and 30 minutes later, the ring was off. Needless to say, Kristin’s finger was so badly bruised and swollen that it was nearly 2 weeks after their vacation that she could actually wear the ring again.David and Kristin, your wedding day was beautiful and the decor by Custom Cuisine was some of the best we’ve ever seen!
