LIANNE AND ANDREW – THE DAY…

Lianne told us at the very beginning of the wedding day that hers was going to be a wedding that we’d never forget….so very true Lianne, but in a very good way! The Priest lost the vows during the ceremony and on the way to the photo location, Lianne and Andrew’s car was hit by another car, but thankfully no one was hurt. Andrew reminded all of us about how beautiful it is when a groom sees his bride for the first time (see the photo below) and the constant smiles on both of your faces showed just how in love the two of you are. Thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day and watch out for crazy cars in the future!

ALLISON AND PATRICK – THE DAY…

We always try to go the extra mile when photographing a wedding, so Ewan thought it would help Allison and Patrick relax if he walked, head first into a road sign and fell to the ground. A little comic relief (and clutziness) goes a long way!

A day full of lots of love and laughter, everyone had a great time – especially Hayden (see the last two photos). He proved that he’s quite the little dancer and a lady’s man. Now he pretends to play ‘wedding’ at home – setting up chairs and carrying his special pillow up the pretend aisle. Then he even has a dinner and dance after his ‘ceremony’. Come see us in 20 years Hayden and we’ll have a job waiting for you!

KATIE AND BARRY – THE QUESTION…

I told Ewan yesterday that I think we need to take a vacation. He laughed and told me that he’d take me to Story Book Gardens – Joy! . With a 16 month old and getting more and more pregnant by the day, I sighed as I realized that it will be quite a few years before we go on a real vacation again. Alas, for now I’ll just live vicariously through our couples who go to beautiful and exotic places for their honeymoons.

Katie and Barry have maxed out my daydreaming, as they’re planning for their wedding to take place in Greece. On June 21, 09, the first day of summer and the longest day of the year, they will be tying the knot at a beach side wedding on the Island of Milos (where the Venus De Milos was found). Beach weddings are always a favourite of mine (not to mention being somewhere like Greece) – we just know it will be the perfect day!

SHAWN AND BRANDIE – THE DAY…

Recently Rachel has been really into us drawing pictures for her. I admit, any animal that I draw just looks like a sad dog, so her favourite word of the week is ‘dog’. Shawn and Brandie told us that they love board games, especially Pictionary – the ultimate drawing game. Being that Shawn is a graphic designer, his teammates had high hopes when they sat down to play Pictionary together one night. The clue was ‘bonfire’ and as the sand trickled through the timer, every word came out of his teammates mouths, but ‘bonfire’. Still being it teased about it to this day, Shawn still loves board games and is willing to challenge anyone to a game or two. Brandie, I hope that if you two have kids one day, that you’ll be able to draw better dogs (or bonfires) for them than Shawn and I can!
