I HEART FACES GUEST JUDGES – THE NEWS…

This week we got to take part in something exciting – we were guest judges for i heart faces. This site is run by Angie and Amy – two moms who met through blogging. They started i heart faces as a site ‘focused on the art of capturing faces and their various emotions’. They have a theme each week and people post their favourite image into the photo themed challenge. Every week a different judge chooses their favourite top ten images from hundreds of entries around the world. This week we were so lucky to be invited to take part as guest judges for the theme ‘Motherhood’. And so the fun began…

Choosing our top 25 or 30 images went really quickly. Narrowing it down to our top 15 was even okay. But when it came to ranking our top ten we had a tougher time. Different images made us experience different emotions – some made us laugh, some made us smile, some tugged at our heart strings. They were all so great. We loved them all. But alas, we had to rank them…and really loved the final winning images.

Thank you to Angie and Amy for inviting us to be a part of this week’s challenge. We loved the experience!

Rose - Heard about this I <3 faces for a while. You really did a great job choosing the winners. The photos are amazing! Seems like having a blast and in the same time a haaaard moment. Choosing is not easy. :)

RANDOM MUMBLINGS – THE NEWS…

Wow, what a week. We had great house guests last weekend as Daniel and Davina made their last stop on their “So this is the US, eh” tour. And this weekend we had the super lovely, Gina as a guest in our home. I’m pretty certain our house has never been quite so clean. Maybe I won’t vacuum all week just to rebel :)

On a totally different note I’ve been battling with migraines for the last 3 years and sometimes tweet about them or mention them on facebook. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who has sent suggestions and helpful ideas on how to help manage them. Some of them have been life savers. I’ve been trying to announce the Starbucks winner all evening, but have been down and out with a really bad migraine. I’m slightly concerned that my head is going to implode….

But without further ado, we used Random.org to randomly select a winner from our Pay It Forward post. Congratulations to Jessica Blaine Smith. Send me a note with your mailing address and I’ll get the tasty goodness of Starbucks in the mail right away!

And sorry for missing The Good, The Bad and The Blog post yesterday. We had an awesome weekend one-on-one mentor session with Gina and couldn’t get to the computer. We had a super fun photo shoot at the end of the day and can’t wait to share the images soon. But tonight just for fun, some random shots that Gina took just before she caught her plane.

It’s time for change 2!

Last week we gave our boudoir work it’s very own blog. And today we’re super excited to announce that Yaira has her brand new, very own blog.
