As Colin headed home from work he didn’t really expect anything out of the ordinary. But as he pulled into the parking lot he couldn’t help but notice her. His eyes went directly to her. And wouldn’t budge. He had to remind himself to blink. There was nothing ordinary about this girl at all.
As Elizabeth fumbled with books and packages, it took her a little longer than normal to get out of the car. Colin wasn’t quite sure what the beautiful girl was doing, but waited patiently in his car so he could walk up to the building at the same time. He just had to meet her. When Elizabeth headed towards the apartment building, so did Colin. Half way there they met up. They smiled hello. Colin asked about the books she was carrying. And a conversation was struck up. Except it wasn’t a very long walk to the front door, so Colin knew his time was running out. Since he lived on the main floor and Elizabeth was headed towards the elevator, he knew had to think fast. As they reached the elevators he panicked and stepped inside. Now what?! Elizabeth casually pushed the number 8 and asked what floor Colin lived on. He froze. His plan was quickly starting to crumble as he actually lived on the main floor and didn’t need to take the elevator at all. What was he going to do? Flustered, he stammered something about living on the main floor, but needing to go up to the next floor to get his mail. It wasn’t exactly convincing. And Elizabeth didn’t quite believe him. But Colin didn’t care. As long as he had prolonged their conversation, if only for a few more minutes, the embarrassment had been worth it. As the doors opened and he stepped out to the mail room, they both smiled and said goodbye. But as the doors shut Colin realized he hadn’t even asked her name. Or given his. The only thing he knew about the pretty girl was that she lived on the 8th floor and owned a lot of books.
Weeks and months passed. Colin and Elizabeth never crossed paths again. But Colin told all of his friends about the beautiful girl in the parking lot. And Elizabeth told her mom about the awkward guy in the elevator who pretended to be getting his mail just to meet her. Something about that first meeting had left an impression on both of them. Finally after 3 months there they were. It finally happened. They both arrived in the parking lot at the same time one evening. As they walked up to the building together they wasted no time. Colin introduced himself. Elizabeth introduced herself. And a first date was set. All it took was a little patience. Perfect timing. And a little bit of luck. It was all worth it for a love that is far from anything ordinary. For a love that’s extraordinary.

So beautiful and so in love. I do not know them, but you seem to have captured them perfectly!!!!
My heart skipped a beat while reading their story and then my jaw hit the table when looking at the pictures :)
Amazing as always. You can so feel the love in these.
She insisted that she wouldn’t date him. Wasn’t going to happen. She was putting her foot down. A professional hockey player, she wasn’t interested. Well, actually she was really interested, but just couldn’t see herself dating a hockey player. She would never be his girlfriend. But still he asked. And then he asked again. And again. Somewhere around the millionth time, she finally said yes. Even though she had insisted that she wouldn’t date him.
As the months passed, they were inseparable. Although living in different cities, visits were frequent and Lindsay and Gerald spent every single possible minute together. After driving for 10 hours one weekend for a visit, all Lindsay could think about was sleep. Couldn’t fight it. Had to dream. After a quick kiss hello, she crawled into bed and fell asleep before she could hear the sounds of Gerald running around the house getting things into place.
After waking up, there was a note waiting for Lindsay. As she opened the door, she was greeted with a path of roses and candles filling the house. Each note took her to another, each talking about the parts of their lives together leading up to this very moment. As she turned the corner Gerald was there. Down on one knee, he was waiting with their puppy. And without saying a word, he pointed to the shirt that their dog was wearing and it said : “Mommy, will you marry daddy?” Hockey player or not, she knew that he didn’t have to ask one million times to get her to say yes to this question. One time was all it took!
